As development in Clayton, Henry and Fayette Counties continues to grow, securing land for Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity home projects has become more challenging.
If you know of a parcel of land in the area that may be available, or if you are interested in the sale or donation of your property, we’d like to talk to you! Donations or sales at below-market value may qualify as tax deductions.
Please note that we are required to meet the same zoning restrictions and building codes as other developers even though we use volunteer labor, donated funds, and build for low-income families. We also pay applicable infrastructure costs to put in roads or sewage lines when needed. We do not purchase property in a floodplain or other unsuitable location, nor do we mediate inheritance issues.
Thank you for helping to create affordable housing in the Southern Crescent!
