Sponsoring with Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity provides your organization with limitless benefits:

Giving back to your community and helping to make a positive change in an entire family's life, establishing an enduring local legacy.

Increasing your organization's profile and creating goodwill towards your organization.

Building new relationships as well as a new home, especially if you partner with other organizations during the build.

Sponsoring and working on a build provides a team-building experience for your employees or your church members.

Full House Sponsorship
A full house sponsorship with SCHFH is $75,000. Matching funds are available for first-time sponsors, faith-based groups, and other unique community-building partnerships. Please contact us to discuss these possibilities.

Some corporations engage their employees in a small fund-raising endeavor prior to building, which the corporation then matches. For example, one company works with their employees on a paycheck contribution. Spread out over two months, their 500 employees contribute $9.38 per week, which is matched by the company to build a home for a deserving family.

Partial Sponsorships
Not quite ready for a full sponsorship? Think about other organizations with whom you might like to partner. We do welcome partial house sponsorships and co-sponsorships. Your organization contributes a portion of the sponsorship amount and is matched with other sponsors to underwrite the costs of house construction.

Please ask us about one-day or half-day sponsorship opportunities. We will work with your group and partner groups to determine the “shape” of the sponsorship.

For example, each year a coalition of churches from Henry County collaborates to sponsor a house. It's a great chance to meet new people and make new friends.

International
If your organization focuses on global ministries, you can make a donation through SCHFH to build a house in a developing nation. Each year, SCHFH tithes 10% of our undesignated donations to build Habitat homes in developing countries where a home can be built for just $4,500.

When you sponsor...
When you sponsor, Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity (SCHFH) will provide land, supervision and coordination of volunteers. Our construction supervisors are professionals in the trade, and are experienced in supervising volunteer builders. Our construction manager will meet with our sponsors in advance of the project to review all the details of the upcoming build.

Additionally, SCHFH must approve and select the family who will purchase the house that has been built by the sponsor. Our Family Resources staff will work closely with the future homeowner and the sponsor to build relationships and to assure a transformative experience for everyone involved.
