In Memoriam of Sandra Childress
When I started working for SCHFH in early 2003, Sandra was the only employee and although she was technically a part-time employee, she worked long hours and almost every day. She was a fixture on our occasional build sites. She often said that Habitat was her calling. She devoted many years and would do whatever needed to be done. She loved SCHFH and put more than a decade of her time and energy into its success.
In Memoriam of John Flowers
I first met John and Jo Flowers when I completed a home assessment on August 25th, 2014 for our Critical Home Repair program. John and Jo were required to complete sweat equity hours, but they enjoyed working on site so much that they became regular volunteers and part of the Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity family. John became the tool truck guru and a reliable member of the Gray Ghost crew. His willingness to keep our tool truck organized was key to our success on the Delta Builds. John also helped out as a crew leader to volunteer groups whenever he could.

The Friends of Southern Crescent Habitat Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of dedicated individuals that gave their time, resources, and heart to help us fulfill our mission. Those who gave other families in our communities a hand up in life.
we would like to honor them and other volunteers who have worked hard to contribute to the success of Southern Crescent Habitat and our partner families.
Through this memorial fund, we will celebrate volunteers that have passed on and those that continue to demonstrate gods love through service to others in our communities.
